Meragang Beach

Meragang Beach is situated at Muara-Tutong highway heading to Muara. It takes about 15 minutes drive from airport. Meragang beach has several names which are quite interesting. Some called it Crocodile beach (according to legend, there were lots of crocodile found on the beach) yet so far, I hadn’t had the chance to see any of this creature on the beach. On the other hand, some of them called it 7up beach due to the fine bubbles in the water reminiscent of the bubbles in 7up). It is much cleaner compared to the Muara beach. Meragang beach provides a scene of privacy and tranquility for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is the best place for a quiet stroll and enjoy sea breeze.

See, this is the sign board to Meragang Beach at Muara-Tutong highway.

Look at the sand, is it clean?

Pretty! Can you make up where is the border line between the sky and the sea?

A small ‘surau’ on the beach.

Stalls found beside the ‘Surau’. They’re closed on Sundays.

I am so lucky to see two fishermen casting their nets trying their lucks on that day.
What a pity! Luck wasn’t on their side. All because of the strong wave on that day.

When you want to find relaxation, beach is usually the perfect place you will never miss.
There’s a jetty at the end. You may probably have to strain your eyes to see it in the picture.
It’s pretty far to walk there.

It’s not uncommon to see such kind of trees on beaches.
