Emperor Q
Stumbled upon this restaurant after our terrible dinner at a "dark" restaurant. Since we were not feeling bloated yet, we thought it would be great to indulge in ice-cream before heading back to the hotel.

This place served soft ice cream, and also frozen iced cream but it was the soft ice cream that attract us more. Inside the menu were pages of ice cream treats. Took us a very long time to decide on our pick...

Green bean.Pearl.Chopped Almond.Choc Ice Cream

Red bean paste.Deep Fried Yam & Sweet Potato.Choc Ice Cream
Kinda newish and yummy~
Although they served lotsa ice cream varieties, their ice cream could not beat McDonald's or Baskin Robbins' or Häagen-Dazs' ice cream :P

Makan-makan @ Jalan Alur
Jalan Alur - the famous place around Bukit Bintang area for local delights among Malaysians and tourists. The EPR duo had a feast during their recent trip there...

The must-have finger-licking-good Wong Ah Wah Grilled Chicken Wing @ RM2.10 per piece

BBQ Fish RM20, not perfectly good but it has its own unique taste :) Any recommendation on which stall has the best BBQ fish/sting ray?

Penang Char Kuey Tiaw, not very special either. Recommendation please...

Big, and chunky "fried carrot cake" or better known as char kueh in Sarawak, nice but too much bean sprout :P
Too bad our stomachs have not had enough space for satay...

Sushi Experience
Hit two (2) Japanese restaurants during our stay at KL - Yo! Sushi and Ichiban Sushi. The food at Yo! Sushi is extremely expensive. Spent nearly a hundred ringgit on the same amount of food (or maybe less) than what we had at Ichiban Sushi for half the price.

Sushi(s) from Ichiban Sushi
The two salmon rolls at the bottom are the best, but they are not able to beat Brunei's Escapade Sushi :P

Dragon-i
Hit this chinese restaurant twice when we were in KL. But we failed to do our main mission by the end of our trip although we had been talking about that mission for days... but nevermind... this restaurant will not poof and disappear unless it goes bankrupt *touch wood*

Erm, this place is famous for its soup-filled dumpling (xiao long bao) and hand-made noodle (la mian). We didn't manage to try its la mian, though.

Mango with Pomelo Dessert
Yummy but the bitter taste of pomelo ruined its perfection. And sorry, its presentation is not as ugly as shown in the above picture. The mango dessert is way too tempting that I forgot to take its picture when it first arrived on the table.

Shanghai Xiao Long Bao (Steamed meat dumpling)
Nice but according to CoffeeQueen, these are not as good as the one that she once had in Singapore. The xiao long bao in Singapore is so good that its taste still linger on her mind :P

Steamed Egg Yolk Bun
No words to describe how yummilicious this one is... Go straight to heaven when having the creamy egg yolk melt in your mouth!

Beijing Steamed Dumpling
Nice, especially its super soft and thin skin and it has soup inside too :D
Oh yeah... we also had the RM1 Chicken. A promotion in conjuction with Dragon-i's 3rd anniversary. We didn't really know what is this "RM1 Chicken" until it arrived on our table. A whole chicken but there were only 2 of us... *gulped*

Price wise is quite standard. Not too expensive for such a wonderful food!

TGIF
This famous abbreviation stands for Thank God It's Friday. Yeah, TGIF, the long awaited "Happy Hour"! I am very thankful indeed that we made it through the one-week long course plus the exam.

Us, the EPR duo went "feasting" at TGI Friday's right after our class was dismissed (minus the time spent lazying around in the hotel). Not very sure what to order since we were first timer at this cosy, dark and crowded eatery. *Forgot to do research earlier*
The restaurant was packed, we waited a while for our food but everything was worth it. And the quality is comparable to Charcoal at Brunei.

Jack Daniel's Chicken and Shrimp

Jack Daniel's Ribeye Steak with soury tomato sauce
Love the creamy mashed potato & crunchy brocolli. The meat was not bad either but it was slightly too much for one person. Luckily the waiter stopped us from ordering those mouth-watering desserts, else we would be wasting more food (again).

Only noticed this when our drinks arrived on our table - Red and White, colours that matches Friday's logo :)
Spent around RM120 for the above. Extremely reasonable compared to the Japanese food that we had a few days earlier.

Coffee
Learnt about coffee from CoffeeQueen recently. It can be an expensive hobby as well as a beautiful and romantic one. Need a bit of creativity and imagination for the latter, though.
To invest in a brilliant coffee maker can cost a lot and not to mention, those rare and top rated coffee beans are overly expensive.
Definition (quoted from Wikipedia)
"Coffee is a brewed beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans... due to its caffeine content, coffee has a stimulating effect in humans... today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide..."
Coffee has superb effect on non-coffee drinker like me as well as on coffee-addict like CoffeeQueen. In short, CoffeeQueen could not "function" without coffee whereas the caffeine content helps me stay awake.

One evening after dinner, while couldn't think straight, we headed over to illy for a cup of caffeinated drink each. Had to had coffee in order to stay awake to prepare for an exam.

Being a coffee-lover that she is, CoffeeQueen ordered something she had never tried, called mugaccino while I ordered the very common cappucino. Each was prepared with "love", but mine was ruined... muahaha!
How to savour your cup of fine coffee ? by CoffeeQueen
Firstly, please sit back and relax, take a sip, let it sit on your tongue and then swallow slowly.
You'll feel the difference like I did. It does taste better! But I also believe it was because the coffee is illy's :D
However, I had minor coffee jitter afterward cause I already had another cup of coffee in the afternoon. Took me 1 day plus to get over it, which is way better compared to my previous experience.

This is the famous Highlands Coffee that I had a while ago. It causes a major coffee jitter, which lasted more than a week.
While it is nice to drink coffee, here are some health facts that all of us should consider:-
Benefits reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, cancer, etc Risks blood pressure, cholestrol, effects on pregnancy & menopause, cancer, etc
Do enjoy a cup of coffee every now and then, but not excessively, of course :)
